New concurrent faculty member - Dr. Michael C. Rea

Gender Studies is pleased to announce the addition of a new concurrent faculty member - Dr. Michael C. Rea.

Dr. Michael C. Rea is Rev. John A. O’Brien Professor of Philosophy as well as Director of the Center for Philosophy of Religion.  He also serves as the faculty advisor for FeministND, a student club.  Dr. Rea’s research focuses primarily on topics in metaphysics, philosophy of religion, and analytic theology. He has written or edited more than ten books, and his work has grown in recent years in the direction of feminist philosophy and the metaphysics of gender.  Dr. Rea’s courses include Feminist Philosophy and the Philosophy of Gender; Feminist Philosophy and Science Fiction; and Philosophy, Gender, and Feminism.  The Gender Studies Program is honored to welcome Dr. Rea not only as new Concurrent Faculty, but also as next year’s Internal Scholar-in-Residence.
