School of Architecture features incoming associate dean for AANHPI Heritage Month

The School of Architecture recently featured Ming Hu ’03, incoming associate dean for research, scholarship, and creative work, in an Instagram post for Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month

Hu is currently an associate professor of architecture at the University of Maryland School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation. Her research looks at the intersection between green technologies and building systems and seeks to tie building materials, system and design technologies together with the goal to make the building become carbon neutral.

“Ming received her M.Arch degree from the University of Notre Dame and her PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Maryland,” the school said in announcing her hiring. “Her record of research, teaching, and service is stellar, and we are delighted to welcome her back to her alma mater to join the School of Architecture faculty in this leadership role.”
