On November 10, 2020, the Liu Institute hosted a book launch for Sharon Yoon, assistant professor of Korean Studies, in celebration of her book The Cost of Belonging: An Ethnography of Solidarity and Mobility in Beijing's Koreatown (Oxford University Press, 2020). Yoon was joined by Alyssa Park, an associate professor of history at the University of Iowa, and moderator Andre Schmid, an associate professor of East Asian Studies at the University of Toronto.
